A brand new two-day festival – Summer of Love – is heading to Manchester this August.
The weekender will take place in Manchester’s city centre in an abandoned warehouse, with a Saturday takeover from the team at Gottwood Festival.
Running from 11:AM to 11:PM each day, Summer of Love is set to go ahead across two days on Bank Holiday Weekend this summer, August 21 and August 22.
It’s being run by Mancunian promoters Animal Crossing who have previously hosted parties in an array of unusual locations, from railway arches to car showrooms.
Speaking on the festival, Animal Crossing stated: “This is our moment to reunite, rejoice and celebrate the reopening of the world we love and have missed so dearly.
“The Summer of Love Festival represents our freedom, our connection, our artistic expression in an environment that has been created bespoke for the two-day music, arts & mindful experience.”
This year, Summer of Love’s line-up takes shape with a mixture of underground artists. A b2b headliner sees Raresh, Petre Inspirescu and Rhadoo (pictured) play under their [a:rpia:r] label, with Raresh later joining Praslea to play as Praslesh.
Dyed Soundroom, Traumer and Priku will also join the line-up over the course of the weekend, with more artists to be announced soon.
The festival will also run a food market from EATMCR, bringing local Mancunian eats to attendees. A pop-up art gallery and wellness hut will also take place at Summer of Love, as well as a record fair hosted by Basement Wax, Vinyl Pimp, and others.
Pre-sale tickets will be available to buy on June 24, 24-hours ahead of general sale. Subscribe here for more info and check out the line-up below.
